The Texas A&M University community now has access to over 13,000 courses at no charge, thanks to LinkedIn Learning (LiL) (formerly Lynda) and the Office for Academic Innovation.

Just log in to LiL.tamu.edu with your NetID and password to learn.

 

Students

Log in to learn:

  1. Software skills including Adobe Creative Cloud, Office 365, and much more
  2. How to improve professional skills such as interpersonal effectiveness and team management
  3. Hobbies such as drawing, photography and playing an instrument

You can even associate your personal LinkedIn account with LiL to receive personalized learning recommendations based on your profile. Course completion certificates will also appear on your LinkedIn profile!

 

Faculty

Choosing supplemental material can be challenging. Why not pick from a pool of over 13,000 online courses? Log in to find mapped courses and videos that match your objectives. Assign tutorials as homework so class time is reserved for concept mastery or watch as a group to drive discussion**.

You can also use LiL to polish your skills, such as:

  1. Core strategies for teaching in higher ed
  2. Teaching with technology
  3. Creating effective learning assessments

There’s even a course for “Teaching with LinkedIn Learning.”

Once you log in, you can associate your personal LinkedIn account with LiL for more personalized suggestions based on your specialties and experience.
